These pieces depict the map of Syracuse NY and highlight the displacement of Black Syracuse residents as the 15th Ward was razed for the construction of the Route I-81 Highway. With the destruction of the highway under way, it also symbolizes the opportunity the city of Syracuse has been given to serve its community in a more meaningful way than merely being a symbolic gesture.
